1) The Red Carpet Cruises website is really starting to shape up.  On the front end, we’re having some custom graphics done for the Cunard and USAFA portals.  On the back end, we’re almost done building a customized cruise database for our customers and are in the process of interviewing vendors for our automated EFT auto debit vacation savings program.

My new CruiseKing Twitter persona has attracted over 400 followers in just three weeks!  We’re streaming the Tweets for CruiseKing and CruiseChik (Crystal) off the home page of the website.  I’d like to think the Tweets I’m putting up are of some interest to the people who are following me but who knows? 

I’m learning more about this new social medium every day and I’m having fun in the process.  And by the way, I’m kicking CruiseChik’s butt in our race to be the first to 1,000 followers!

2) As I mentioned in an earlier email, Crystal and I are doing a short 4-Night Labor Day cruise on Cunard’s luxury liner, Queen Mary 2.  We sail on Friday, September 4th and fly back home Tuesday, the 8th.

I have family back in New York and a couple of them will be joining us.  I wanted to extend an invitation if any of you would be interested in joining my family and me.  It’s a rare opportunity if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to sail on a true luxury cruise ship and be able to do it for a very affordable price, since it’s a shortened four day mini-cruise.

The Queen Mary 2 is currently the largest and arguably the most famous cruise ship in the world today, although cruise liner is the correct term.  The Queen Mary 2 was specially built to do transatlantic journeys between Southampton, England and New York.  She is specifically designed for speed and cruises much faster then traditional cruise ships.

This Labor Day cruise is almost sold out but there are a few cabins left.  If you’re interested in doing something wild and crazy at the last minute, give me a call.  We’d love to have you join us and you won’t be disappointed, I promise you!
